Once a common sight in our homes and gardens, sparrows are slowly disappearing from our cities — victims of vanishing habitats and urban neglect. At RAK.social, we believe in acting before it’s too late.

 

On World Sparrow Day, we come together to celebrate, protect, and give back to these tiny heroes of our ecosystem.

 

 What We Do

Our World Sparrow Day initiative is a blend of awareness, action, and sustainability:

 

Distribute sparrow nests and water bowls to local communities, helping create safe spaces for sparrows to thrive

 

Host educational sessions with conservation experts who share why sparrows matter — and how everyone can help

 

Gift plantable pens to all participants, encouraging eco-friendly habits and reducing plastic waste

 

It’s a celebration with a purpose — reconnecting people with nature, one birdhouse at a time.

 

 The Impact So Far

Dozens of nests and water bowls have been placed across homes, schools, and community spaces

 

Participants learned how to spot, protect, and support local birdlife

 

Our plantable pens continue to grow into herbs, extending the message of sustainability long after the event ends

 

As one volunteer said, “It’s beautiful to know we’re helping sparrows find their way back home.”
