PROJECT RAGIJAVA
Ragi Java Saturdays
A warm cup. A healthy start. A simple act of kindness.
As schools reopen and laughter fills the corridors again, many children still begin their day on an empty stomach. At RAK.social, we believe no child should have to choose between learning and hunger.
That’s why, every Saturday, we show up with something small but powerful — a warm cup of Ragi Java, served with love.
What We Do
Ragi Java is a nutritious, traditional South Indian drink made from finger millet — packed with calcium, iron, and fiber. Every weekend, our volunteers distribute it fresh and hot to students at a nearby government school.
It’s not just about nutrition. It’s about showing up regularly, creating moments of care, and making kids feel seen and supported.
We serve:
Freshly prepared Ragi Java, using hygienic ingredients
With smiles, conversation, and lots of encouragement
To 100+ students every week — and counting
The Impact So Far
Children now associate Saturdays with warmth, joy, and nourishment.
Teachers have shared how this simple act helps kids stay attentive during class.
One child told a volunteer, “Ragi Java Saturdays are my favorite!”
This isn’t just a drink. It’s a ritual of care.
How You Can Support
Sponsor a Saturday: ₹1,000 can cover Ragi Java for an entire school.
