PROJECT GROOMING
Grooming with Grace
Because everyone deserves to feel seen, beautiful, and celebrated.
Every Tuesday, something special happens in places that are often forgotten. At HIV girls hostels—where stigma can dim even the brightest spirits—RAK.social brings not just scissors and combs, but dignity, connection, and joy.
What We Do
While most barbers see empty chairs on Tuesdays, RAK.social fills that time with purpose. We invite skilled but currently unemployed barbers to offer professional grooming sessions for girls living in HIV care homes.
These sessions are more than just haircuts. They're a moment of affirmation—where mirrors reflect not just a new look, but new confidence. Girls who may feel isolated or invisible are reminded that they matter. That they’re worthy of attention, care, and celebration.
The Impact So Far
The transformation is palpable. A shy smile in the mirror. Laughter during a fringe trim. A quiet “thank you” that carries a world of meaning.
For the barbers, it’s more than work—it’s dignity restored. For the girls, it’s a rare moment of joy and self-worth.
How You Can Support
Sponsor a Tuesday: ₹1,500 covers a full session for one hostel—barber fees, supplies, and travel.
